A.P.C Kabutomushi - Samurai Beetle

When Monica Anduray picked up this A.P.C leather bag she noticed it soft yet structured leather. Like a Beatles shell smooth to the touch but keeping its shape impeccably.

Vertical that line down the middle reminded her of beetle wings which spark the idea for the bag. She choose to paint a Japanese rhinoceros beetle a creature that when seen from above resembles a samurai's helmet showing the perfect blend of strength and honor.

Monica added gold to Avoca sense of timeless luxury while blue wings contrasted boldly against the bags red colour. This is her way of portraying Japan's beauty strength, courage, and tradition.
